My Friend MJ: Forgiven. Saved. Redeemed. Free. Child of the Most High God.

MJ walked into our lives one rainy Monday night on April 13. She was on her way to the church she attends in Atlanta but told us later that God strongly impressed her to steer her car into the Mt. Zion Baptist Church parking lot after she saw our sign, "Ladies Night of Praise!"

She walked into the church foyer where ladies were gathered to have coffee and desserts. MJ was very friendly, outgoing and clearly was excited to be there. She told us, "When I saw the word 'praise' I was convinced to stop, I am always up for the praise and worship of God!"

She told us she served in a couple ministries and is passionate about visiting churches in addition to her own because she loves the Word and the Worship of God. And then she said she was delivered from a homosexual lifestyle.

When I heard that I began to jump up and down with excitement and say loudly, "Pastor Doug is preaching a series of sermons on "What the Bible Says About Homosexuality" and here you are talking about being freed from it! What providential timing! His last message of his series is next Sunday, would you like to come?" She did. And she said she liked Pastor Doug's message and thanked him for it.

God has brought new peeps in MJ's life after coming to Night of Praise. It was clearly a Divine Appointment on April 13. Already she's supporting and attending the GLORY gatherings for women Alison Everill and I are hosting. MJ is presently creating a fun, inspiring video for us from our MORNING GLORY breakfast. I hope to be posting it soon.

MJ's having a book of poetry published at Yawn's Publishing in Historic Downtown Canton (GA). Its working title is "Uprooted Hearts/Journey Back Home." Her poems describe her heartbreaking, gut-wrenching seasons in the dark as a homosexual. Other poems describe how God delivered her with a transformation from darkness to light.

MJ is so driven to tell people about the saving power of the blood of Jesus that she will publicly confess she was a homosexual. Now as a redeemed child of the Most High God,  she willingly shares her testimony (see video link below) in hopes of other homosexuals knowing Jesus and becoming His freed, redeemed children, too.

MJ: Forgiven. Saved. Redeemed. Free. MJ's Testimony

God has put a fire in MJ to tell people about the greatness of His love, grace, and mercy. "Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven" (Matthew 10:32).

It's for His glory, Sisters. We are to carry on the work of Christ. He is the Light of the World. When He left earth to go to heaven to sit on His throne on the right hand of the Father, He told His people, "You are the light of the world...let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:14,16). He is saying to carry on His work as His light. And that's what MJ is doing.

"Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together."
